Cut the ends of the green beans. Wash them and drain them
Place the beans in a large pot with salted boiling water. Boil on high for 10 minutes with covering the pan.
In the meantime, mince the garlic, the onions and the herbs
Drain cooked greenbeans and spray some cold water on them
Melt the butter in a large pan and saute the onion, garlic and herbs. Add the green beans and simmer at least 45 minutes, without covering. Shake the pan from time to time
Season to taste and serve hot
