plain crepe with Nutella inside

INGREDIENTS

DIRECTIONS

  1. Mix together flour, sugar, and salt
  2. Create a well in the center.
  3. In the well mix eggs, vegetable oil, & vanilla then mix all the ingredients until smooth.
  4. Add milk gradually (no more than ½ a cup at a time) and stir until smooth again each time.
  5. Let mixture sit covered for 2 hours.
  6. Spray crepe pan (or frying pan) with cooking spray and place on burner over medium heat
  7. After the pan is heated, lift it off the burner and use a ladle to pour the batter in the pan while gently tilting the pan in order to cover the surface completely.
  8. After about 15 seconds, use a spatula to lift the edges away from the pan. Attempt to flip the crepe without tearing it. Wait another 15 seconds and put it on your plate!

This is one of my absolute specialties! I believe it was one of the first things I learned to make for my family. Since then I've taught it to my high school friends, had college crepe parties and taught it to all the women in my church congregation! I love how I always have the ingredients and it makes such an addictive treat it's probably good that I have to plan to make it 2 hours in advance (the batter settles and is easier to work with) or else I'd eat crepes all day every day.
