I don't recall Mamy ever making this when I was at the Normandy house, but it must have been because I was always asking for crepes and the fruits may have not been in season. I first made it when I was pregnant with my son and went to a local cherry farm to pick cherries. My mom told me this recipe is perfect for cherry season. But it can also be made with any small pitted fruit. This means apricots and plums (above picture) work perfectly too. Now I make it every year when these fruits are in season!
